Temporary Veneers Help You And Us
We discussed many important topics on social media this week – including the most important of all, oral cancer screenings. But we also talked about getting veneers right so that everyone is happy. That means temporary veneers.
The process of creating temporary veneers begins with a wax mockup or model. We then build up a tooth-colored material that simulates the look of veneers. The temporary veneers we place on your teeth aren’t very sturdy, but they give you an idea of the look as well as how your teeth come together. This gives you a chance to see what you think of your new image while we makes sure everything will work correctly mechanically.
At Brighton Dental, we’re a gentle dental clinic and want to get everything right to save you time, money and hassles. It’s much cheaper and easier to work on the mockup than to mess up your veneers.
If you don’t like the shape, feel or look of the temporaries, we can make adjustments before we have your porcelain veneers made. You’ll have to be careful with the temporaries because they may feel a bit thick, be a bit soft -- and one or more could even come off despite our efforts. You can usually prevent that by staying away from hard, sticky or chewy food. There may be a bit of sensitivity, so very cold or hot foods probably aren’t a good idea either.
Now that you know all about temporary veneers and their role in improving your smile, you may be ready to take the next step.
