At Brighton Dental, we believe dentistry is more than just treating teeth—it’s about caring for people, uplifting communities, and making a meaningful impact. Our lead dentist, Dr. Paige Woods, exemplifies this philosophy by providing free dental care to those in need in many countries, including Vietnam, Mexico, and the Philippines.
Dr. Woods is also committed to providing humanitarian dental care to the local community. For instance, on March 8, 2025, Dr. Woods dedicated her Saturday to providing essential dental care for those in need through the Hearts Over Hate Foundation. This organization stands against hate and violence while promoting kindness and equality.
Hearts Over Hate was founded in response to the tragic loss of a fellow dentist, Dr. Benjamin Harouni, who was brutally murdered simply out of hate. This heartbreaking event reminds us of the importance of standing together, supporting one another, and using our skills to bring about positive change.
Dentistry has always had a humanitarian aspect, allowing us to touch lives in ways that go beyond oral health. For many underserved individuals, access to dental care is a privilege they cannot afford, and humanitarian efforts like these ensure that no one is left behind.
Dr. Woods and the Brighton Dental team believe everyone deserves a healthy smile, regardless of their background, financial situation, or circumstances. Through her volunteer work, Dr. Woods provides critical treatments such as dental exams, cleanings, and restorative care to patients who might not otherwise have access to a dentist.
More than just treating dental issues, she and the team offer compassion, comfort, and reassurance. This helps patients restore their smiles, confidence, and dignity.
Humanitarian dentistry is more than fixing teeth; it’s about healing, advocating, and standing up for those in need. At Brighton Dental, we are honored to contribute to this cause, using our expertise to spread kindness, fight inequality, and honor the memory of those we’ve lost to hate. We encourage others to join this mission by supporting organizations like Hearts Over Hate, volunteering, or simply leading with empathy in their daily lives.
Let’s work together and create a world where dental care is accessible to all. Brighton Dental remains committed to making a difference, one smile at a time.
