Smiling comes easily to Dr. Woods, a highly experienced dentist who has transformed thousands of smiles for patients. She attended the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. With a genuine love for her craft, she continuously strives to fuse the power of art and science to design beautiful smiles. Motivated by her rich passion for aesthetics, she channels skill for symmetry and beauty into her cosmetic dentistry practice.
As a pioneer in modern dental technology and with an integrative approach to holistic dentistry, Dr. Woods believes in addressing the entirety of a patient’s health and taking any necessary steps to reduce dental anxiety. She has integrated a range of holistic standards and practices into the natural dentistry services offered at Brighton Dental, which include acupuncture, aromatherapy, and the use of high quality non-toxic, biocompatible materials, uniquely offered to her San Diego patients.
Dr. Woods is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicity, Academy of General Dentistry, and performs pro-bono restorative dentistry elderly patients through the Dental Lifeline Network to help local elderly patients with much needed care that their retirement benefits cannot come close to helping them. Aside from working with local dental associations, Dr Woods has served underprivileged children and families (including Compassion Clinic, Clinic with A Heart, Mead Valley Community Service, Assistance League of Redlands, Philippines, Cambodia & Ensenada Mission Trips through different organizations including the Thousand Smiles organization).
One of the most important aspects of Dentistry to Dr Woods is staying current in technology and continuing education. After dental school, Dr Woods completed courses on Oral Conscious Sedation, graduated from the California Implant Institute as well as the Hybridge Institute, has been published for her research on the effects of dental bonding strength and microabrasion. Dr Woods is passionate about constantly learning and integrating new innovative treatment options with her patients each day to ensure that they are receiving the best quality of care possible.
